"All life is sacred. If we just see it, all of life is sacred... The Christian life is not to do sacred things, but to do all things in a sacred way."--- Howard E. Butt, Jr.
In a couple of weeks, I get to return as a speaker to the Texas Hill Country, to Laity Lodge. It is truly one of my favorite places. It is an exceptional retreat center that is all substance and no hype. Every time I go there I am reminded of the simple things that my soul really requires: beauty, friendship, conversation, good food (yes, my soul needs food!). I need places where I can take walks and take in the scenery; where I can learn and pray; where I can see a night sky filled with stars and where I can be part of something that has been built and nurtured with care.
I have written about previous visits here and here.
If you are interested in spending some time in a great setting, in good conversation and amidst good people that will stretch your mind and breathe some life into your soul, I encourage you to look into one of their many offerings in the months ahead.
I love to go there. I am excited to be going back.
