A couple of years ago, Mark Roberts and I taught a class for Fuller Theological Seminary on The Theology of Pastoring. Since Mark's Ph.D. is in Biblical Studies and mine is in Theology we make a pretty complimentary team. I often found that his insightful and careful work with biblical texts served as a constant measuring rod for my historical and theological work (As it should be!)
So, with great appreciation for what Mark offers in biblical exegesis, I'd like to recommend that anyone following my current series on churches in conflict consider reading two of Mark's series of posts. His current one is called When Someone Sins Against: Guidance from the Master. This is a continuation of another series called God's Guidance for Christians in Conflict.
These are both excellent, in-depth biblical studies that will provide a solid foundation for continuing our discussion on Monday.
So, class is over, this is our homework. See you Tomorrow.
