I came back from Africa to this nice note from a pastor in Scotland. 

Tod,
    I have just read "It takes a church" and wanted to take a few moments to say thank you for it. It informed and inspired me. It is so rare to find a book that deals with theology seriously but also practically. We are planning to plant a new church here in Scotland when we return from studying in the States for a year and one of areas I have been trying to clarify in mind is the nature of the church and its implications for how we "do church", your book has really stirred my thinking. So a big thanks for your time, effort and insight in writing it
