Thank you for these helpful insights. I have found myself hesitant and a little baffled with how to make this vital transition to a more collaborative approach. You offer some real encouragement.

Thanks for sharing your story. I'm still trying to figure out how to do it too.

Wonderful post.
I want you to know that I also enjoyed reading all of your blog. Yes I spend time reading it all and loved it. I have added it to my list of favorites. Keep up the great work you do. I pray that God will continue to bless you and your Ministry in a powerful way. I hope you have a great week!

Thanks for posting this Tod. I'd like to talk to you more about it... I think I'm eating lunch with you on Thursday with the good Bishop.

Susan

What an honest and vulnerable post. Thanks for sharing.

Knowing what you know now, are there things that you would do differently if you had the chance to "do it over" and start fresh as Sr. Pastor and Head of Staff?

steve

File under great and honest post. Keep going, all the way.

PS Thanks for the camera.

Hey Tod,

I'm always both inspired when I read your blog and sorry I didn't take you up on your offer to play bass!

I'm finishing up my candidacy year at a church in Mesa, AZ where I've been working at leading from the periphery. It's been hugely successful, but really uncomfortable. It's like riding a horse and not holding onto the horn thing the cowboys always tell you not to touch. I still don't get that.

You're the bomb and still a wonderful part of my faith journey and, ultimately, pastoral call. Good luck, starfish.
